Welcome Guest Author Cristal Ryder

I’m very pleased to welcome fellow Ellora’s Cave writer Cristal Ryder to my blog today. She’s here to tell us a bit about herself and her new story, Plus One.

Please leave a comment for a chance to win one of Cristal’s ebooks: No Fantasy Required, Being Ariana, Being Bound, or Switch Me Up. The Winner will be announced Monday, January 7.

Welcome, Cristal.

Cristal, please tell us something about your book:plusone_msr(1)

Plus One will be released with Ellora’s Cave, TODAY yippee! It’s a hot read. I did research on this and what you get is loosely based on elements of what I saw 😉 Embellished of course.

Here’s s little about the story:

A girls’ night out for a pole dance workshop at her friend’s upscale sex club takes a wild turn for normally timid Karen. She knew what to expect, but not how far she’d be willing to go.

Rob comes to Desire After Dark as a plus one. His only expectation is visual stimulation, not participation. But that soon changes when he spots the buttoned-up-to-there beauty hanging around on the sidelines.

Thrown together, Karen and Rob find the sexual heat between them undeniable. Surrounded by twosomes and moresomes, they step on an unexpected and steamy path. But when another joins in, they have a plus one of their own.

An Exotika ® erotica story from Ellora’s Cave

Now, a little about Cristal:

Cristal, in your opinion, what makes a book a keeper?

One that makes me long to read it over and over again. Like A Rose In Winter. I’ve read it about a zillion times.

Do you have any guilty pleasures?

Yes, but I can’t tell you 😉

Now I’m really curious  🙂  Cristal, what’s one thing readers would be surprised to know about you.

I can read a racing forum. Is that surprising? How about I scuba dive and had flown a plane? That’s three 🙂

If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?

I’d have a little grass shack with wi-fi, decent tv, and simple comforts on a secluded tropical, private beach AND a similarly appointed cabin in the Rocky Mountains.

If a movie was made based on one of your stories, who would you cast as the hero and heroine?

I have that all planned out. For my women’s fiction story called First Saturday In May, I would have Michael Biehn when in his 30’s and Stacey Keibler.  This story is a riches to rags to riches that isn’t erotica, but full of emotion and life changing events.  Oooh, I love Michael Biehn…very hot in Terminator, even with the Rick Springfield hair  🙂
What are you working on now?

I have a number of stories in the works but am putting most on the back burner except for two and the odd quickie. The women’s fiction noted above that needs attention and most importantly, my dad’s WWII story. It will be interwoven with my mom’s experiences as well. He is Polish and was taken to fight in the German artillery and my mom is English, seven years younger than him. She was evacuated from the south cost to north of London to avoid the bombings. It is a magnificent, true story that I’m desperate to tell. My mom passed away December 13, so I feel an even greater urge to get this story done. She was 82 and my dad is 89.  Fascinating! I’d love to read it. My sympathies on the loss of your mom, Cristal.

Where can readers find you on the web?

Here are all my links. Please be patient with my website though, it was struck with a virus in December and we’ve migrated it to a new host, but it’s still a shell and needs to be overhauled.

If you could wake up stranded on a desert island with one celebrity hunk (actor, athlete, musician, etc.), who would it be? Why?

Ah gee, you’re gonna make me choose? But I don’t wanna!  I want them all. Okay…well, let me narrow it down a bit. Michael Biehn, Ellora’s Cave Caveman Christian Boeving and a secret crush I must keep to myself. Muscles, hotness, eyes, and intensity. Gives me the girlie shivers. *sigh*

Ah, more mystery!

Thanks, Cristal. It’s always a pleasure when you stop by the blog.

  1. Cristal, your research sounds like it may be a whole other story – lol – I loved reading your romance, “Hot Fusion.” Two thumbs way up for setting, characters and sizzle. 🙂 It sounds as if the temperature’s turned way up on this one – blush – I shall put “Plus One” at the top of my TBR pile. Happy release day!
